Coffee Grind Guide
We have created a guide on how much you should grind your Coffee; the page will describe grind size and coffee types that you could grind for. Being beans, the choices are near infinite.

You will look for a course grind with a scale and texture like peppercorns around 1.2 to 1.5mm in size.
The particle sizes 1 and 2 are pretty significant, slowing down extraction due to the coffee's smaller surface area. When using Cold Brew, you want to slow the extraction; the ideal brewing time in a cold fridge is between 16-18 hours.
This grind is suited for Cold Brew, and with grind 3, you could make a cafetière, though we'd recommend a grind 4.
When grinding your Coffee to a medium grind, you must aim for a particle size of 0.60 to 0.85mm. This is like a sand texture; a finer sand texture will work better for a filter coffee.
This grind best suits cafetière, Drip Coffee or the Pour Over. Brown Bear pre-ground Coffee is a Medium Grind, commonly referred to as Omni-Grind, as it will work for Filter and cafetière.

A fine grind will range from 0.2 to 0.55mm and look like powdered sugar upwards to table salt at the course end.
A finer grind coffee brewing type will likely use temperature or pressure to increase extraction or shorten extraction time. To work well for this brew type, a finer grind of Coffee with more surface area is required. An espresso, for instance, will be extracted in around 20-25 seconds; any longer, the Coffee may be too fine, and any shorter, it will under-extract.
A fine grind will allow for a slower extraction or higher pressure extraction tool to be used such as an Espresso Machine, Moka Pot, Aero Press and a Hario V60.
Essentially, put the grinder on and leave it. The Coffee should be like Flour or Powder with a particle size of 0.1mm. You may need a high-quality grinder to achieve this, such as a Burr grinder. The build quality of these grinders can range widely.
This coffee is one of the few brewing methods where you don't remove the grounds before consuming. The thicker parts of the grind will rest at the bottom of the cup. You want it to be as fine as possible to maximise extraction. We will have to create a guide for Turkish Coffee.
This grind type is very fine and suitable for Turkish Coffee.
