Our Brown Bear Mount Kenya is the epitome of fruity zesty coffees. Grown at 2000 metres above sea level, in the shadow of the foothills of Mount Kenya with its rich volcanic soil, terroir and varietals, this is classic Kenyan coffee at its finest. As one of our favourite coffees in the world, expect bright, citric acidity, stone fruit sweetness and a clean cup finish.

Cafetière & Filter
Our fresh, pre-ground coffee is a simple, convenient option if you don’t have a home grinder. The coffee grind coarseness (our Omni grind) is perfect for cafetières (French press), and drip filters and can also be used in the Aeropress, Moka pots and coffee percolators. We’d always recommend whole beans for absolute freshness but if you do opt for pre-ground, it’s always best to keep them in an airtight container, away from light and use them as quickly as possible.

My favourite Brown Bear coffee.
The coffee has a fabulous aroma, a strong citric note with more than a sufficient aftertaste but not at all bitter.
For an optimum brew or my ideal anyway: Freshly grind Beans that have been stored, sealed in a freezer. Store ground coffee in a air tight container and use within 3 days, I do :-) The beans are ground coarsely for an AeroPress. Off the boil water is added to 5 tsps. of coffee/AeroPress for 30 secs.

Nice coffee. Blended it with the breakfast beans, a nice mix. Coffee is not at all bitter, you can’t stop at one cup! Will certainly buy again. Nicely aromatic.
Amazing coffee, tastes so much better than other brands because the blends are tailored so you can pick exactly what you want from each bean type. Full of flavour and if you follow the guides on site to pick you will find your perfect bean.
