Coffee Beans
Brown Bear’s freshly roasted coffee beans are packed and heat-sealed into our coffee bags to keep the beany goodness and flavour inside. Ensure you have a quality grinder to get the most out of our coffee.
Check out our coffee guide under About Us for some great how to guides.
Cafetière & Filter
Our fresh, pre-ground coffee is a simple, convenient option if you don’t have a home grinder. The coffee grind coarseness (our Omni grind) is perfect for cafetières (French press), and drip filters and can also be used in the Aeropress, Moka pots and coffee percolators. We’d always recommend whole beans for absolute freshness but if you do opt for pre-ground, it’s always best to keep them in an airtight container, away from light and use them as quickly as possible.
Brazilian Decaf Coffee - Swiss Water Decaffeinated - Cool Brazil
This is a lovely decaf coffee. The main flavour note is chocolate. It has a nice full bodied flavour. I’ve tried quite a few decaf coffee beans and this is one of my favourites.
This is a really smooth tasting decaffeinated coffee. I decided to try it as it is Swiss water decaffeinated, hence no chemicals in the decaffeinating process. I wasn’t disappointed. I don’t like a strong coffee so this one, which has a lovely mellow flavour and a roast strength of 3, is perfect for me. Thank you 😊
I have been buying Brown Bear coffee since 2019 and can advise that very specifically, their decaf product is THE best decaf on the market. The fact that they donate money to an such an important charity makes them an extremely valuable company to society and you should definitely buy their product even if you don’t even drink the coffee (hint: be that friend who is always gifting coffee…).
Wonderful coffee, tastes great and as described on the packaging. Perfect for when you have already had a few cups of coffee or for a late night drink. I have noticed that the flavour is better than other brands even at a lower recommended brew time, it is recommended on the packaging to brew for 2 minutes, whilst I've seen others recommend 3-5 minutes for a lesser flavour. These bags also leave far less brown sediment in the cup than other brands as well.
Absolutely love the taste of this coffee.
The decaffed beans are so good, it has weaned my husband off caffeine and we now just drink decaffed. Thank you.
Really needed a decaf to stop skelping myself with caffeine so close to bed time. This one is perfect, has a beautiful taste and doesn't carry the bland feeling some other decafs too. Another staple added to my regular order!
I've tried a few decaffeinated coffees in my time and once I knew about swiss water decaf, I immediately changed to brands that did it this way due to health reasons. I really like this Brown Bear decaf, definitely ticks all the right boxes and not too pricey.
One of the best decaf coffees I've had and I have to stress that decaf is normally seen as inferior or not as good as regular. This to me is probably better and it's got the added benefit of not having chemicals in it to remove the caffeine. Happy boy!
Tried this coffee and then went back to an old one that we used to buy from Waitrose. Can honestly taste the difference and now I'm back to drinking Brown Bear as the taste is definitely worth it, even though the price is slightly more, but not by much. The taste is kinda chocolately and it goes really nicely with milk or occasionally I've had it black. Very smooth and not bitter.
