Cafetière & Filter
Our fresh, pre-ground coffee is a simple, convenient option if you don’t have a home grinder. The coffee grind coarseness (our Omni grind) is perfect for cafetières (French press), and drip filters and can also be used in the Aeropress, Moka pots and coffee percolators. We’d always recommend whole beans for absolute freshness but if you do opt for pre-ground, it’s always best to keep them in an airtight container, away from light and use them as quickly as possible.

I've been drinking 'proper ' coffee for years. Ever since my mum gave me the moka pot in the picture.
I've tried various methods to brew my morning coffee, including a rather expensive bean to cup machine but I always return to my faithful long serving pot.
I usually go for single bean from the different coffee producing countries, however this blend is more than good!
I'm working my way through all the varieties that Brown Bear offers and now I'm keen to try some blends. Thank you for broadening my horizon.

Really tasty coffee and great for a morning kick.
The beans seem a bit oily compared to my usual Blue Mountain which my bean to cup machine is not keen on! Can clog up up if used to much.
Love the coffee but may get ground in this one next time it mismx with my usual!
So Brown Bear has been politely nudging me for around 3 weeks to leave a review, but I didn't want to leave one until I had perfected my coffee making with Original Blend and Real Columbian, and I can now say WOW! WHOA! WOW! It's taken me around 3 weeks to find out how many grams of beans to the cup I like and what grind works for the brewing time I have in the mornings, and for the first time ever I am drinking my coffee without milk or cream or sugar. If you invest in Brown Bear coffee beans, you should invest your time into perfecting your brewing method because I can guarantee you will never look back. It's 10pm and I'm already looking fwd to my morning coffee - that's how good it is. I choose Real Columbian, finely ground and brewed in 2 stages for up to 20 mins for my morning coffee, and I have Original Blend for later in the day which I grind to medium and brew in 2 stages for 9 minutes. It's been a revelation for me, especially discovering how wonderful coffee can taste on its own. I'm really delighted, thank you.
I am relatively new to the world of coffee and hadn't really settled on anything I liked. Over the past 5 years I got to the point of wondering what all the fuss was about. I was constantly searching for a coffee that tasted close to those you get in decent coffee houses. I just couldnt find anything in that league. Having recently spent a ridiculous amount of money on a top notch bean to cup machine I gave it one more shot. I moved away from brands generally found in supermarkets. I quickly realised that to get away from bitter tasting brands you have to look further afeild. Let me save you that hassle. Give this a go. You wont regret it. Its really well priced and is quality. Its got a beautiful sweetness to it. Chocolatey, warm and extremely smooth. What is more, you will be drinking one of the best roasts out there. I have tried a few BB beans. This one and the Real Colombia will steal your heart. Well done Brown Bear keep doing what you are doing.
Your Original blend coffee hits the mark for us every morning. It has the right blend of deep flavour without being harsh and really perks us up. What's more it is fairly consistent in flavour so hats off to the blenders as I know dealing with a natural product can be variable.
Looking forward to trying the Mamba Italiano when I have an empty hopper in the Bean to cup machine but its hard when we just keep filling it with the Original blend!

Have tried many of the blends but always come back to the original blend. Superb coffee. Brown Bear went out of their way to help with a request regarding delivery and we’re so helpful. I’ve recommended them to other friends who now use them.
This is the blend for me. I can see why BB make it their original blend, as its just got that quality that means that most people I give it to at home really love it. Especially with milk. It's just great and I heartily recommend it.
This is by far my favourite BB blend having tried most of them, if not all. It's fantastic with milk (frothed) and has a hint of dark chocolate notes that I really love. Smells delicious in the morning!
I'm relatively new to the world of "real coffee " having drunk (dare I say it) instant coffee for years.
I got my first bean to Cup machine at Christmas and spent weeks reading reviews on what's the best bean to buy. I quickly came across the brown bear name on a coffee review website. My first purchase was a tin of Christmas blend beans, what can I say... Wow..! It was the exact flavour I had been looking for. As this was a special edition I wrote to brown bear who very quickly got back to me, telling me that the original blend would be very close as it has a similar roasting process.
I placed the order for my first bag of original blend and im hooked. By far the best I've tasted. Some may say I've not tried x, y or z. But I'm of the "if it isn't broken, don't fix it" camp. So providing brown bear keep making it, I will keep buying it!

Not sure I can taste the rose water or liquorice but it's definitely one that you should always have in your cupboard in my opinion. Just a really nice, solid coffee and great with milk!! (Try almond with it)
Really, very very good! I've tried a few of BB's coffees and like them all (including the decaf) but their Original is my 'go to' coffee of choice! Just wish it was stocked in the supermarkets...but great service all round so I'm happy!!!
