There is no other coffee in the world like an Ethiopian Yirgacheffe; this iconic coffee is famous for its fruity red berry and lemony acidity due to its washed process, Ethiopian Heirloom Arabica varieties.
This coffee is predominantly grown at 2000 metres above sea level in the Yirgacheffe area of Sidamo in Southern Ethiopia. Our Brown Bear Yirgacheffe is for those who appreciate a heady, perfumed aroma and complex fruity notes.

Cafetière & Filter
Our fresh, pre-ground coffee is a simple, convenient option if you don’t have a home grinder. The coffee grind coarseness (our Omni grind) is perfect for cafetières (French press), and drip filters and can also be used in the Aeropress, Moka pots and coffee percolators. We’d always recommend whole beans for absolute freshness but if you do opt for pre-ground, it’s always best to keep them in an airtight container, away from light and use them as quickly as possible.

It tastes a bit boring as a single espresso but add a little frothed milk or make it a cappuccino and the flavour really shines!

I'm a keen coffee drinker and love trying new products. Africa has a long history with coffee and this was well worth checking out. Always black with no sugar so I can taste the effect a long roast has had. The mouth feel was long lasting and the aroma reminded me of other after dinner coffees I've tried. Just that little bit better though. Thank you bear!
